Our lovable, silly, playful, sweet-natured, handsome, gentle, talkative, food-oriented, book-obsessed, vehicle-loving, inquisitive, creative Sam has turned two. *Take a moment to imagine him saying "Me be TWO!" with both fists outstretched.* We have treasured these first two years more than can be expressed-- watching him grow, learn and become an individual has brought us such joy. We couldn't feel luckier to have Sam in our lives and we are so incredibly thankful for his presence. So, Happy Birthday, dear Sam. You are loved!
To celebrate, we had a little birthday party for Sam today after a smaller celebration last night. Here is a link to pictures from the weekend. For those of you who just want a quick taste-- here's a shot that demonstrates what Sam thought of wearing a party hat, followed by a video that captures him showing the party-goers his belly as he was serenaded.
We wish you all could have been here with us, but many thanks for the birthday love sent from near and far.

"Our lovable, silly, playful, sweet-natured, handsome, gentle, talkative, food-oriented, book-obsessed, vehicle-loving, inquisitive, creative Sam" -- what a lovely, all-encompassing way to capture the essence of your lovely son. Keith and you, Amy, have been wonderful parents to this special child (I do not use baby any more). He, and the two of you, bring Mimi and I great joy, as I know is echoed by all others who love him, and the two of you. Grampa.
Happy Birthday dear Sam and one and all! We love you...such a special time...precious. Love, Mimi and Grampa!
