We also had a lovely weekend which included a *sunny* trip to the zoo. On the way there, Keith attempted to sing a song he had just learned. I very politely began to correct him, but Sam piped up from the backseat saying, quite earnestly, "Daddy...you do GOOD job, Daddy!". Mommy stands corrected, and a little embarrassed! At the zoo, Sam was happy enough to see the animals but he was absolutely in love with the zoo keepers. He pointed and shouted "ME SEE ZOO KEEPER" every time a person in uniform passed us--often pointing and shouting at very close range. A little awkward at moments, but generally amusing to those around us (most zoo keepers and other uniformed individuals included).
This weekend also brought what is becoming a weekly gathering with our friends Libby, Erik and Bailey. We finally got some good pictures of the two little ones, although one is much littler than the other, it seems. (Can you tell I'm getting a little vaclempt at the thought of Sam's upcoming birthday?) We like to call this shot Sneaky Chip Moocher and the Adorable Ball Bopper:
Hope you all have a wonderful day watching the inauguration and taking a deep breath.
