Sam learned how to blow bubbles in his apple juice yesterday and was quite amused by this discovery:
Just in case you're thinking to yourself, "Man, this kid is all sunshine!," I will note that he screamed with a kind of ear-shattering, mind-altering, heart-breaking intensity I have rarely seen FOR AN ENTIRE HOUR at the doctor's office today. Wow. He's fine now, but I'm still reeling. I've already put a hold on "The Berenstain Bears Go to the Doctor" at our local library and am trolling Craigslist for gently used doctor kits, but I think we're going to need to pull out the trusty elephant tranquilizer gun in our garage for the next visit.
Before closing, a transcript of Sam's self-talk while he was playing with his cars and motorcycles last night (I wrote it down as he was talking because it was just too funny):
"Pop-Pop on white mo-cycle. Nana on nennow mo-cycle. Cose mouf, Pop-Pop! Open mouf, Nana! Pop-Pop...open...mouf...challah bread!"
Seriously. What is going on in that mind of his?

That is too funny! Challah Bread? Seriously?
Take my word for it--Pop-Pop is willing to open his mouth for challah any time :-)
This is the video to pull out on a rainy day...pure bliss. The trip to the doctor's office paints a picture of a totally different Sam. Children have an amazing capacity to be in the moment don't they?
