Pancakes and Firetrucks, Oh My!

Parents have many decisions to make on a daily basis, but sometimes a choice is made for you. Today, we had absolutely no option but to attend the annual pancake breakfast at our local fire station. Sam has been wearing his fire fighter outfit nonstop for the past couple of weeks and he was nearly delirious with joy when we explained what the morning's events would entail. Pancakes! Firefighters! Rear-mount Aerial Ladders! Does it get any better than this? Luckily, the event did not disappoint and our little fire chief made quite the impression with his get-up (Dad got plenty of smiles for his fire hat as well-- now if only I can get him to wear that to campus!).

Quite a bit more possible than to be an ice cream cone, as was his Mommy's dream at that age. May Sam always have great aspirations, and his wonderful parents promote them to the max! Love, Grampa.

You're right. That's a perfect outing for Sam, right up there with, say, a hands-on violin demonstration with Nutella sandwiches and avocado. Go, parents, go!

Ha! I love it! I hope they let the giant dog in the hat drive the truck sometimes...
