Birthdays and Beaches

Keith writing. As you can tell, we celebrated my birthday this week, and oh what fun it was to share with Sam. Someone waited patiently--for months really--before it was time to eat birthday cake. Amy (stupendous Mom that she is!) had Sam involved in all aspects of the event. He picked out a present for me at the store: an M&M dispenser with a mini-fan, to keep me cool, naturally, and stylish white go-go boots. Here's a pic I snagged online.

He picked out the nicest racecar helium balloon--perfect decor for a birthday. And he worked hard with Amy to make the cake, including decorating with sprinkles. Then he delivered the sweetest duet on the Birthday Song.

Today we took a day trip to Half Moon Bay. Fifty minutes by car and we were at crashing waves, shell-hunting, huge sea-plants (i.e. the perfect firehose, of course) and even a few dolphins cavorting off in the distance. We're definitely going back... we all had a blast tapping into something special about living here.

Thanks, all for the birthday wishes, and hope this finds you well!

At first reading of your birthday post, K, I was pretty sure you meant that Sam picked out white go-go boots for you. I'm sure you can understand my disappointed in the picture below that had only the M & M folks in the boots.

I love the photo of Amy & Sam with their beautiful curly haired heads forehead to forehead!

Happy birthday Keith!!! Why didn't you wear the go-go boots to the beach? Oh...you meant those were on the M&M beauties...I see from Emily's comment that I read that wrong as well.
