Roadtripping to Goosetown

We finally made it to our sublet here in the Bay Area after a four day road trip leaving from Portland.

Night one was Ashland, with a surprise children's marimba concert in the park (Sam was enthralled!); night two was Crescent City, with wonderful beach time including sea lion spotting and driftwood turned rockin' drum set; night three was Garberville, with beautiful redwoods and Sam's realization that ice-cream is awesome.

We arrived on Tuesday, a little tired, very disoriented but ready to settle in. So far so good. Sam is calling the sublet home, which seems like a good thing, and we found the all important "little swings" at a playground that we can walk to. We're also enjoying the odd resort-like quality of our small, temporary digs, and Sam is way into the pools and all the geese and accompanying "goose poopy!".
So now we start the process of finding our way around, scoping out neighborhoods, reconnecting with old friends, trolling open houses and finding all the best playgrounds along the way. Here we go! But first...maybe we should just take it easy for a little while...

Hooray!!!!!!!! You made it...yes kick back...put your feet up and relax a bit. I LOVE THAT PICTURE OF SAM EATING ICE CREAM! What a wonderful discovery! I mean the Redwoods are marvelous and the Coast is beautiful, but REALLY, the ice cream discovery is paramount! Love to all!
