This family just LOVES snow and Seattle is finally giving us a winter to smile about. Okay, so we're still working on Sam -- the kid thinks ice cream is "no, no, too cold!" -- but he's coming around! Five new inches of nice, fluffy snow fell yesterday, giving us a chance to play in the snow with all of our wonderful neighbors.

"Uh, guys? I feel a little helpless here."

Sledding! Luckily the neighbors dug up some real sleds, and Sam was very enthusiastic about riding down with Dad and Mom.

Who says a snowman can't be shaped like a rocket ship?

Sam thought knocking snow off of the bushes was the best use of his time, until...

Sam's favorite place to throw a snowball? Mom's head. Fun for everyone!

Yay for neighborhood friends!
Yesterday also brought an extended play-date with neighbor Jake. Sam is now asking for his little friends to come over ("Jake come to Sam's house, peeeaaasssse!"), which is wonderful, and Sam and Jake share the kind passion for vehicles that sets the stage for most lasting relationships. But it is now clear that we're heading full-throttle into the realm of "Mine!" and "NO SHARE!" and "Wahhhhhhh! My truck, my truck, my truck, waaaahhhhhh!". We're bracing ourselves for the ride.

Can you imagine this cutie as a terrible, I mean, terrific two?
Tomorrow, we're off to Portland, where we expect Nana and Pop-Pop will share quite nicely. Happy Holidays, everyone!

Love the mischievous snowball face! Happy Holidays and safe travels.
Looks like you guys are having so much fun! What a cutie he is- and if he likes the snow so much, he of course has an open invitation to come to our house and shovel anytime. Wish we could play with you all!
