Many people have been asking if Sam's first steps a few weeks ago have led to more independent walking. The answer is no. He is cruising all over, pushing anything that moves, and happily walking while holding onto our hands...but no more steps without support. We think part of the reason is just how much pride and joy he feels from standing. Just standing. Standing on his own makes Sam sooooo happy right now. I don't think he feels a need for any more accomplishments on the motor front until he's soaked in all the cheering and adulation for this stage ;) This short video captures some of that joy, and ends with Sam's first Hollywood-esque assault on the paparazzi.

OK! I wonder how many times I will watch this one! What a hoot! He does look so thrilled with himself! Do you think he understands what the camera does? Do you show him his videos? Oh, this is great! Thanks!
He is TOO CUTE! It is just inspiring how excited and happy he is. The next time I am sad, I will just channel Sam, think about how purely fantastic it is just to be standing up!
He looks like he's not only standing but conducting an orchestra. And loving it.
