Belated Valentine Wishes

I know, perhaps Presidents' Day Wishes would be more appropriate, but that just doesn't sound right, now does it?

Last Thursday, we celebrated Valentine's day as a family by going to the same diner we went to on Valentine's day last year. Man, a year REALLY changes the dining-out experience. Let's just say that, while life with a one-year-old is far easier than life with a newborn in many ways, eating out is not one of them. (Enjoy it now, Bruskin crew!) Check out the contrast for yourselves:

This weekend, Keith and Sam went down to Portland while I stayed home to work (*sniff, sniff*). It was pretty hard for mama to be away from Sam, but sleeping in has never felt so good! While they were there, Sam had lots of fun using his walker in the long hallways, taking the streetcar, playing with Guinny, identifying Nana and Pop-Pop's noses (again and again and again) and, of course, perusing classic cookbooks (what do you expect?):

With much love and belated Valentine's Wishes to you all.

Happy Valentines to all! I can't believe how big Sam is. Even since Christmas...he is beginning to look like a little boy, and a very busy little boy at that! The table top photo is great. I can't wait to chase him, and tickle him and hug him!
