Rainy Day Update

Not much to report, but since it is rainy and gray here in Seattle, we felt the need to do something cheerful. So, a new post it is.

Sam has now been one for a whole week. In that week, he's gone to two kids' birthday parties (is this our new social life???), done lots of playing with new toys received for his birthday, learned how to give a high-five, and played with his favorite four-year-old on THIS side of the country (Jamie, you will always be his absolute favorite whatever-you-are-at-that-time-year-old!!!).

He's also getting much closer to walking. Right now, he is using a funny crawl, with one knee and one foot on the ground. This allows him to hold on to a ball with one hand while he moves-- how very crustacean of him! We're also trying to teach him to go down stairs backwards...but I'm pretty sure this is going to take awhile. For now, he seems to be saying, "I defy you Newton!" as he attempts to barrel head-first to his destination. (We've installed some heavy-duty baby gates-- don't worry Mimi and Nana!).

So, that's it from this drizzly city. See you back here soon!

It's rainy and gray here, too. I'd been hoping for something cheerful to hit the blogosphere from Team Parman, and this is perfect!

Rainy here in Boston too! Boo. Still, we send a happy transcontinental high-five to Sam. Love that puzzle, I'll have to drop a hint to Eric for my own birthday! Love, Heather

High five to you, Sam!
And really, why does anyone need to go down stairs backwards?

So, so cute...makes any day sunny, but I keep watching that "Sam in the bathtub" video ...it continues to bring a giggle to me! Thanks again!
