Nana and Pop-Pop came to town this weekend. Sam thoroughly enjoyed their sweet company. We thought it pertinent, since we don't have a growth chart in the house, to find a unit of measure against which to compare his development. As you can see, based on scientific evidence, at 17 days, Sam is slightly larger than your average challah, which puts him proudly in the 99th percentile.

Sam v. Challah

Oh, we definitely need a series of "Sam vs. Household Objects" pictures. Sam and the challah look about equally edible, by the way.
That is simply the best photo ever! I would like to point out that this is not the first time that the babe has been compared in size to a tasty treat. (Remember the pic with pregnant Amy holding a lemon to her belly when Sam was very, very little?) PS: Is his hair a little red? He is too precious for words!
