Sam has started e-mailing. Weird. One day when Amy was at work and he expressed that he missed Mommy, I asked him if he wanted to send her a note to tell her how he was doing. "Yeah! A HAIR email!" Okay...
First he dictated the following:
I'm mashing up my bananas.
Then he asked to type. Sure...
nana
poppop
i love you
computer poopoop
I helped him with the spelling, but he pressed all the keys.
Next day I received the following missive from our son:
Dear Daddy,
A hamburger. I love you, Daddy (literally!).
Anything else? No!
(Sneeze)

Well, clearly he's showing two traits that mark him out as a Feldman -- he's writing copiously, and he's quite the surrealist! Beth and I can't wait to read his editorials for the Onion.
I do think it's really interesting that he's able to participate in the writing of notes so early -- definitely something we didn't have access to when we were wee.
I can't believe he figured out so early that you're a hamburger -- that one took me years!

Wow! I guess my idea of writing handwritten letters will have to go on the back burner! How wonderful!
