Sam rarely sees the television on, so when we tuned in to the presidential address this evening (oh, happy times these are...), he was captivated and, it turns out, quite astute in his summary:
Sam: People? Man?
Mommy: Yes. That is George.
-pause-
Sam: Monkey?
Mommy and Daddy: (laughing) Yup.
We're pretty sure this actually stems from his affection for Curious George, but regardless, it got even funnier when he offered the President one of his pretend bananas by holding it up to the TV screen. We really couldn't have made this up...
