45 Minutes = Eternity

Sam had a routine check-up today, and he got a clean bill of health despite a total freak-out that lasted the entire 45-minute appointment. No matter how many times we sang it, and no matter how off our pitch, the Eensy Weensy Spider just wasn't doing the trick this time. *Sigh* Sam came home and took a 3+ hour nap and has been reenacting the visit in various ways all afternoon. Right now, Snuffalupagus is having his ears checked in the living room.

We had been a little worried a few months back when he hit a plateau in growth, but he's checking out just fine now. Not that this is particularly interesting to you folks, but for posterity's sake we'll note that he weighs 26 pounds (45th percentile) and measures 32 inches (25th percentile). Our doctor added that both his verbal skills and his ability to maintain a continuous pediatric spazz out were well above the 90th percentile. Gotta love our doc!

In closing, here are two pics of Sam. Pretty clear which one shows his new on-command 'smile,' huh? We hope this isn't the face he'll be making in all posed shots to come...

OH Amy! That was the best description...I can only imagine what it was like for you! Did you come home and sleep for 3 hours too? Sam is healthy...hooray...and clearly adorable and best of all very, very happy. (Especially when he is NOT visiting the doctor!) Good news though...miss you all!

I heart little Feldman big-time.

(sorry the last comment was deleted. It wasn't anything naughty, just misspellings. Everything must be perfect for little Sam!)
