Gaggy did it! Although he's still working on fine tuning his dissertation, Keith got to walk in the English Department graduation yesterday. We are so proud of his seven years of hard and meaningful work. And after all the time he's put in, Keith is still absolutely sure he's picked the right profession and truly enjoys the work he is doing. Way to go!!!
Mama got to see the official hooding portion of the event but missed the rest of the ceremony because-- even with expert help from Nana and Pop-Pop-- our well-meaning but talkative child is just plain LOUD. He doesn't quite understand the whole 'shush' thing yet. It was a large auditorium, and Keith still heard the shouts of "Gaggy!" from up on the stage. Yikes! At least he is enthusiastic. And now we know that we should start working on the concept of *quiet*. How we do this is beyond us, quite frankly, and advice is welcome.
That aside, it was a lovely afternoon and we were all thrilled to celebrate this tremendous accomplishment with Keith. Congratulations, congratulations, congratulations!
