Who is that charming fellow in the mirror?

Okay, so by now you know that WE think Sam is the most adorable, lovable, wonderful kid around (we are his parents, so I realize this probably goes without saying). But now, here’s proof that Sam feels the same way…about himself! He just loves looking in the mirror lately, and finds his own company to be quite entertaining.

Sam has also been very pleased to learn the power of the words up (up-puh) and more (mooooow-uh). Mom and Dad are currently trying to figure out where encouraging language stops and enough-is-enough begins. Tough call for us novices.

Finally, Sam added two funny new words to his list today (he is a not-stop chatterbox!): hippo (IP-po) and beetle bug (beeg-e-buh). The kid still doesn’t have a word for juice or water, but *phew*, at least we know he can let us know if a hippo should wander into the house…

Now Sam can ask for more beetle bugs with basketballs and bubbles -- a winsome combination indeed. What a cutie!! I could kiss him all over right this very minute.

Hippos beware... Sam can see you even when facing the other way now! OK, Beth and I have watched this now several times, and have decided that he's just absurdly cute. It's absurd. :-) Much love from the other coast!!

Gee, wouldn't it be great to feel that good looking at yourself in the mirror? I mean imagine it...Grampa shaving and giggling and kissing himself each morning! Mimi getting dressed and absolutely loving the image in the mirror, bonking her head with delight! We should all be so lucky. Seriously...Sam could not possibly be cuter. What a delight to see!
