Happy Hannukah

Sam's first Hannukah went over pretty well. As the above pictures show, he was mesmerized by the candles, fascinated by wrapping paper and pretty interested in the satsuma (clementine for your East Coasters) that Pop-Pop let him try. Aside from the passing of this holiday, there isn't too much new to report on the Sam-front-- just lots of stair summiting (see post below), pulling-up on furniture, pointing to objects of interest, indiscriminate "mama"ing, "baba"ing, and "heh!"ing, along with some good old fashioned ball tossing, airplane spotting, and the very start of a wave (as in "bye-bye," not as in seventh-inning rally).

Much love to you all! Oh, and for anyone who may be curious about that lovely menorah, Keith made it in Hebrew school when he was little. It is a couch. So the candles can relax. Isn't Keith the coolest?

What a joy to see Sam grow--and he's blessed with two loving parents. If Hannukah is a festival of miracles, then this was the most miraculous celebration of all. Even Guinny misses you already.

Happy Hannukah indeed! How could it not be with Sam's "baba"ing and the candles chilling in a couch-menorah. Now let's work on that seventh inning wave...

I can't wait to see you all in just a few days!
