Sunny Days

After about three weeks of the most glorious California weather, we now appear to be in the midst of monsoon season. Flooding, hail, thunderstorms, oh my! So here is a reflection on the good old days...of last weekend.

Life around here is pretty good these days, wild weather aside. We're working on some sleep issues for Mr. Milo who continues to be totally awesome in every way - as long as a car or a nap isn't involved! Things are getting much better in both departments though, and, as a newly minted 5-month-old, he has everyone in the family totally enamored. Sam is also a joy these days. He is exploring a new found interest in rough and tumble play at school which can be a challenge when you are a good head or more shorter than your peers. At home he seems to be making a switch from paleontologist to oceanographer/marine biologist. We'll see if this interest sticks, but I must say the parents wouldn't shed too many tears if we didn't have to talk (listen) at length about the Triassic Period every single day.

Oh, my, oh, my, what a sunny family. I hope the wild weather doesn't creep into your house. It clearly hasn't crept into your hearts. Nap, Milo, nap! Sam might want to see the posting of glass sponges on my website (Tuesday page). It links to some gorgeous pictures. Love ya!
