Ides of March

Sam's in a pretty sweet spot these days. Hitting his stride, communicating his interests, his needs. Like when he REALLY wants to make sure we understand that he hears an airplane off in the distance, or that he has books in the bookcase, or that Mama and "Gaka" (he's still not doing Ds) have noses. He's also sending the signal that the two-nap rhythm we've enjoyed for the last few months is on the wane. See for yourself.

With all his interest in pointing things out, Gaka got the bright idea to use the "internet" for "fun" and find some images Sam might find enjoyable before we headed off to the bed-time routine. You'd never guess how many pictures of basketballs (yes, the little guy's nuts about all things hoops-related), firetrucks, and school buses you'd be able to find. This was a great diversion, except now I think he might presume that when Mama says "Dad's writing his dissertation" she really means, "Dad's looking at school buses again!"

We saw Nana and Pop-pop after their trip to the frozen north (Alaska, those crazy kids!) and got a quick shot, complete with Guinny the dog who stubbornly refused to wear sunglasses. Imagine that!

That's all for now. Best to everyone!

Alaska was great, and seeing Sam and family was awesome. Guinny enjoyed her stay chez Parman. Thanks! And love, love, love to you and the guy who's "sleepless in Seattle." (Couldn't resist.)

Good thing for Sam it's March Madness time! Just don't let him start putting money on the games, though, it's a little early for that. Anytime he wants to talk sports, though, you know "Uncle" Eric is up for it!
