Hello faithful blog-watchers. We apologize for the delay in our regularly scheduled programming. Amy and Sam took a wonderful 10-day trip back to Bethesda, so we have been remiss about posting. We'll set up a link to more pictures from the trip soon, but in the meantime, enjoy these two shots. One is just plain cute. The other? Not so much cute as it is ridiculous. We hope you agree :)
And on the milestone front, Sam has really been moving and shaking. He has two baby teeth poking through the surface (aha-- that explains the fussy, sleepless week!), he can sit up for a whopping 30 seconds unassisted before teetering over, and his lungs have clearly grown in capacity (read: this boy can holler!).
Phew-- what a wild two weeks.

It was the most wonderful 10 days! A special memory for Mimi will always be the "Laughing Pants Sam" incident. I had taken Amy to shop for some new clothes. While Amy was browsing around, I did the same with Sam on my hip. We got to a rack of pants, and I pulled out a pair, casually asking Sam if he thought his mommy would like them. Suddenly, I heard wild giggles. I looked down, and Sam was convulsed with laughter! I had never heard a baby laughing like that! The more I wiggled the pants in front of Sam, the more Sam laughed.(I mean this went on for at least 2 minutes!) Then of course, I was out of control laughing. Good thing there weren't too many people in the store!
are those eyes for real??? i can't believe that i haven't been able to see them for myself! soon, sam -- we will have our first of many rendez-vous'! pickin' up the ladies :)
