Ever since that first smile, when we had Ben Saul on the phone, the Parman clan's been waiting with baited breath to capture Sam's glee on film. As you can see, we've had varying degrees of un-success. Not even a staring contest, a little chin-tickle, or some quality time with Sadie's stand-in could bring out his grin at just the right time. But we have witnesses: Sam even smiled at a ceiling vent last night! Just ask him. The ceiling vent, that is. Sam doesn't talk yet. Don't be ridiculous. Have no fear, though, we'll keep trying!

Oh, we miss him plenty already! We caught a few of those little phantom smiles and I agree it would be nice to snap a photo to share with all. Thanks again for an amazing visit- we wish we were still there for feedings & playtime (though not so much nappy changing time)!
Oh my goodness! THAT PICTURE OF SADIE WAITING PATIENTLY... oh, the whole deal...what a wonderful update! AND I really had not had time to check on the Eric and Heather photos...understandably in love with Sam, and obviously very, very special friends. Great! Thank you so much for the updates. We miss you and love you very, very much.
Looks like Sam's got his first acolyte! Now all he needs is a teeny, tiny fez...
I love the belly laugh (I'm an optimist, you see) in his photo in the "I (heart) Daddy" t-shirt. Oh, that photo's a keeper for sure!
